Class 4100 Submeters Designed specifically for the multi-housing market, the Class 4100 wireless metering system lets apartment, condominium and dormitory managers and owners know when and where energy is being used. By metering individual tenants and common areas within a facility, managers can pinpoint when and where tenants are using energy. Armed with reliable and accurate energy data, tenants can take steps to curtail this usage and thus reduce their energy consumption costs.
E-Mon D-Mon Class 4100 meters are ideal for applications where the meter must be installed inside the tenant space. Meters install with minimum tenant disruption and can be read remotely with E-Mon Energy™ software to generate tenant bills, usage statements and energy graphs.
The Class 4100 meters with built-in wireless transmitters allow energy data to be read via an innovative wireless mesh communication network. The self-configuring, peer-to-peer, multi-hopping wireless transceivers intelligently route energy data between the meter and the central data storage unit (Wireless Gateway) in the most efficient manner. The wireless gateway, located inside the metered building, stores the interval data until downloaded via Ethernet or Internet using E-Mon's wireless meter reading software.
Mesh networking technology provides wireless meter-to-meter and meter-to-gateway communication eliminating the need for additional transmitting devices and costly communication cabling. Additionally, the system will automatically configure each component to function within the network, minimizing set-up and reducing maintenance requirements.
